The God Machine

The God Machine is a text-oriented IDE and front end to a computer simulation of God, who lives in a digital universe, and who long ago used the God Computer (GC) to create His own computer simulation of our universe. That is, we live in a computer simulation created by God.

The God Machine is an open source software project ("open source" means that it's free, and other programmers are free to modify the source code and even create their own versions of it if desired). The God Machine will be implemented in the Python programming language, which is itself open source. Python is a cross-platform language, so it runs under Windows, Linux, and probably the Mac as well.

The user interface of the God Machine is text oriented: an 80 x 25 array of characters, and each character can have its own foreground and background colors. The programming language included with the God Machine is a simplified version of my Vecscript programming language (both versions have yet to be implemented). The IDE (code editor) features syntax highlighting (different types of program elements can have different colors) and a debugger.
